About me

Dr Shah is a general and Interventional Cardiologist treating patients with chest pain, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, palpitations, hypertension and all aspects of general cardiology. He graduated from St George's University of London in 2004 with a number of undergraduate accolades.

He completed his Cardiology training on the South London rotation and completed interventional fellowships at the former London Chest Hospital (now Bart's Heart Centre) and St. George's Hospital under the supervision of several renowned Cardiologists.

Dr. Shah completed a period of clinical research culminating with the award of a research MD reporting on the mechanisms of DNA damage and repair in coronary artery disease. He also holds additional roles as a Deanery educational supervisor, medical appraiser and is actively involved in ongoing research having been a primary investigator in numerous clinical research trials.

He has a specialist interest in diagnosing and treating ischaemic heart disease including coronary angioplasty and stenting. This includes the management of both stable and unstable angina syndromes including complex coronary intervention. By incorporating his expertise in intracoronary imaging, plaque modification and physiology, he optimises his interventions to aim for the best outcomes for his patients.

Outside of work, Dr. Shah's family keeps him busy with his two boys sharing his love of football and cricket.
