About me
I am an osteopath and health psychologist with a particular interest in how people live with and adapt to persistent pain. My approach combines hands-on osteopathic care with the principles of health psychology, so I can support both the physical and emotional aspects of pain. I aim to help people understand their condition, make positive changes, and find practical ways of managing their health so they can live well with long-term challenges.
I originally trained as an osteopath, completing my Master of Osteopathy at the UCO School of Osteopathy in 2016. Wanting to deepen my understanding of the psychological side of pain, I went on to gain an MSc in Psychology in 2018, an MSc in Health Psychology in 2019, and later a Professional Doctorate in Health Psychology at the University of the West of England in 2024. Alongside clinical practice, I work as a clinical tutor at the UCO School of Osteopathy and guest lecture on postgraduate psychology courses at the University of Westminster.
Before moving into healthcare, I spent 17 years working in financial sales and trading in the City of London. Changing career gave me the opportunity to follow work that felt more meaningful, and over time I developed a particular interest in how pain affects people not only physically but also emotionally and socially. This experience inspired me to bring osteopathy and psychology together in my practice, so I can take a more complete approach to patient care.
My clinical focus is on persistent and chronic musculoskeletal pain, with a strong emphasis on behaviour change and patient-centred care. I am also interested in how people adapt to and live well with long-term health conditions, and how individuals in recovery from addiction can build meaningful and fulfilling lives.
