About me

Mr Mohamed Aly FRCS is a Consultant Upper GI and General Surgeon in London, offering keyhole (laparoscopic) surgery, upper GI endoscopy (gastroscopy) and assessment of surgical problems. He treats gallstones and gallbladder disease; inguinal, groin, umbilical, paraumbilical and incisional hernias; hiatus hernia, acid reflux and heartburn; dyspepsia, jaundice and abdominal pain; and skin and soft tissue lumps such as lipomas and sebaceous cysts. He offers prompt outpatient review for patients who have recently been admitted as an emergency or attended A&E with a gallstone or hernia problem and wish to arrange treatment without waiting. Where scans and investigations have already been carried out during the acute episode, these can be reviewed at the first appointment and a treatment plan agreed. He has a particular interest in patients with ongoing symptoms after previous upper GI surgery � including abdominal pain or weight regain after bariatric surgery, and recurrent reflux, dysphagia or food sticking after previous anti-reflux surgery or fundoplication. Mr Aly consults at Clementine Churchill Hospital, Harrow and at LIPS, Battersea Power Station. He works with all major insurers including Bupa, AXA, Vitality, Aviva and WPA. Self-paying patients welcome. GP referrals accepted. Consultations available in English and Arabic.
