About me
Dr Malik’s clinical interests are in the assessment of chest pain, shortness of breath, and hypertension.
He has specialist interest in coronary artery disease (the cause of angina) and its treatment with simple and complex coronary angioplasty including rotablation
In addition, with increasing treatments being made available for valve disease and stroke, Dr Malik performs ASD, PFO and TAVI procedures.
He leads the large Heart Attack Centre (HAC) program at Hammersmith Hospital, delivering world class treatment to patients in West London, and performs a large volume of structural heart procedures, both at Hammersmith Hospital and at the Wellington Hospital.
He is a proctor for PFO closure, Left Atrial Appendage (LAA) Closure, and TAVI procedures and leads the structural heart disease program at Hammersmith Hospital, Imperial college Healthcare NHS Trust, London.
He performs a large volume of heart procedures, both at Hammersmith Hospital, and at the Wellington and BUPA Cromwell Hospitals.
He is Medical Director of One Welbeck Heart Health, and London Cardiovascular Clinic.
His research interests are in coronary and structural heart disease.
As part of his role at Hammersmith Hospital, he as implemented many audit projects and Information Techology Systems to improve patient safety.
He is regularly in the media, and performs "live-cases" to educate other doctors.
