About me

Miss Michelle Ting is a consultant ophthalmologist and oculoplastic surgeon at Clinica Harley Street and the Royal Free London. She is highly regarded for her expertise in managing eyelid, lacrimal, and orbital conditions in both adults and children. With a commitment to achieving natural-looking results, she employs techniques that utilise hidden or minimal incisions wherever possible.
After graduating from Cambridge University and Imperial College medical schools among the top of her class, Miss Ting completed her ophthalmology residency and initial oculoplastic training at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, where she served as Chief Resident. Her exceptional skills and dedication led her to be selected as one of only two international candidates for an advanced fellowship in oculofacial surgery in the USA, accredited by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons (ASOPRS). During her two-year fellowship at the University of California San Diego Shiley Eye Institute, she trained under the tutelage of world-renowned surgeons Professor Don Kikkawa and Professor Bobby Korn, mastering the latest minimally invasive techniques in oculofacial surgery. Her innovative research on thyroid eye disease during this time earned her the national ASOPRS prize two consecutive years.
Miss Ting is passionate about research and education, having published over 35 peer-reviewed papers and authored three oculoplastic textbook chapters. She plays a pivotal role in training the next generation of oculoplastic surgeons at her NHS practice. Additionally, she leads the eyelid trauma wet lab course at the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, lectures nationally on blepharoplasty and eyelid reconstruction, and teaches ophthalmologists preparing for the oculoplastic component of the FRCOphth Consultant exam.
