About me

I am a highly experienced Cognitive Behavioral Psychotherapist with 20 years of experience working in the mental health field. My background is in clinical Psychology in my home country, Italy, where I completed a Masters Degree in Adult Clinical Psychology. Upon moving to the UK, I obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) at Royal Holloway University. I have since worked in both primary and secondary care psychology services and worked as a senior CBT therapist for over 14 years for the CNWL NHS Mental Trust, based in central London.

I have a special interest in trauma therapy as it is my belief that a lot of people's current difficulties are underpinned by the wounds inflicted by significant single and/or repeated traumatic experiences, which may have occurred in the main formative years of a person's life and/or in their adulthood.

I am also a firm supporter of using a holistic approach to mental health, which aims at addressing the whole person and not just their manifested symptoms. To this end I aim to provide a safe, collaborative and supportive space to address difficulties in a compassionate and nurturing manner.

As required by the BABCP, in order to maintain my registration as well as high standards of therapy, I receive regular clinical supervision. I also attend regular training and workshops in order to keep my knowledge and experience relevant and up to date.
