I offer Bupa customers standard cataract surgery on the Full Pathway package option at Nuffield Health North Staffordshire Hospital .
This package includes your appointments before and after surgery, as well as your surgery and mono-focal lenses. It means you won’t use up your out-patient benefit or receive any additional bills from your surgeon (or anaesthetist, if you need one) for eligible treatment.

About me
Mr. Sohail Ahmed is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with a special interest in Oculoplastic Surgery and Primary Eyecare. He currently practices at University Hospitals of North Midlands (Royal Stoke Hospital) and brings considerable expertise in cataract and oculoplastic surgery, including procedures involving the eyelids, tear ducts, and orbits.
With over 10 years of experience in the NHS, Mr Ahmed graduated in Medicine from the University of Birmingham and completed his specialist training in Ophthalmology across Yorkshire and the West Midlands. This included work at the Birmingham Midland Eye Centre, one of the largest eye units in the UK. He further advanced his skills during a fellowship in Oculoplastics and Orbital Surgery at Leicester Royal Infirmary, a respected centre for complex eye conditions.
In addition to his clinical practice, Mr Ahmed is committed to training future ophthalmic surgeons and has a developing interest in the application of artificial intelligence to improve the early diagnosis and treatment of eye conditions.
Mr Ahmed provides a caring and professional approach, offering personalized treatment plans tailored to the needs of each patient.
