About me
I am a Consultant Head and Neck Cancer, Sarcoma and Reconstructive Surgeon with extensive experience in diagnosing and treating conditions affecting the mouth, tongue, throat, jaw, salivary glands, neck and facial tissues.
As one of the few female surgeons in the UK dual-qualified in both medicine and dentistry, I bring a comprehensive understanding of diseases affecting the mouth, jaws, face and neck, allowing me to provide truly integrated care from diagnosis through treatment, reconstruction and rehabilitation. This unique combination of training enables me to deliver highly specialised care while maintaining a strong focus on restoring both function and quality of life.
I care for both adults and young people with a wide range of conditions, including persistent mouth ulcers, oral pre-cancer and oral cancer, tongue cancer, neck lumps, salivary gland disorders, jaw cysts and tumours, facial skin cancers, benign soft tissue lumps, facial trauma, secondary reconstructive procedures, and complex head and neck cancers.
I have a particular specialist interest in ultra-rare head and neck sarcomas, complex ablative surgery, advanced reconstructive surgery, and secondary reconstruction following previous cancer treatment. My aim is not only to treat disease but also to restore speech, swallowing, appearance and quality of life, helping patients regain confidence and return to living as fully as possible.
Whether your condition is straightforward or complex, my aim is to help you understand your diagnosis, guide you through every step of your treatment and achieve the best possible outcome while preserving your quality of life. I also provide expert second opinions for complex cases and work closely with a multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, restorative dentists, speech and language therapists, and allied healthcare professionals to ensure every patient receives comprehensive, evidence-based and holistic care tailored to their individual needs.
Where appropriate, I work with a specialist multidisciplinary team to ensure patients have access to the latest advances in personalised cancer care. This may include molecular profiling, whole genome sequencing, advanced reconstructive techniques, innovative clinical trials, and proton beam therapy, where these investigations or treatments are clinically indicated. My goal is to ensure that every patient benefits from the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatment options available.
My philosophy is simple: everyone deserves access to the highest standard of care, delivered with kindness, honesty and respect. I believe that listening carefully, explaining clearly and involving patients in every decision leads not only to better clinical outcomes but also to a better healthcare experience.
Whether you are seeking reassurance about a new symptom, a second opinion, or specialist treatment for a complex condition, my team and I are committed to providing timely, compassionate and expert care. We understand that taking the first step can sometimes feel daunting, but seeking expert advice early often provides reassurance, clarity and the best opportunity for successful treatment.
If you have concerns about a persistent mouth ulcer, a neck lump, changes within your mouth, salivary gland swelling, facial skin cancer, jaw pathology, or any other condition affecting the head and neck, I welcome the opportunity to help you understand your concerns and guide you towards the most appropriate treatment.
For me, exceptional healthcare is about more than treating diseaseit is about restoring hope, function, and quality of life, ensuring that every patient has the opportunity to live well. My commitment is simple: to provide every patient with expert surgical care, honest advice, and the support they need to move forward with confidence.
