About me
I am an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and have worked in the NHS, for the past eight years, with adults experiencing difficulties as a result of anxiety and/or low mood.
I am also a State Registered Occupational Therapist (O.T.) and my clinical practice continues to be informed by a biopsychosocial approach with theoretical frameworks that highlight the importance, for wellbeing, of being able to engage in a balance of meaningful activities.
Moving on from the NHS, I am now in the position of being able to offer cognitive behavioural therapy to people who are interested in, and will benefit from, this treatment.
Areas of interest
I am experienced in working collaboratively with adult clients (18+).
I have experience of working with individuals experiencing depression, low self-esteem, generalised anxiety disorder, OCD, health anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, agoraphobia, and PTSD.
I have a particular interest in understanding the experience of anxiety and working with clients who are stuck in a cycle of worrying.
