About me

Dr Leigh-Anne Lynch is a highly experienced HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and member of The Beacon Practice with over sixteen years post-qualification experience working in the NHS in a variety of settings providing psychological assessment and treatment.

She has extensive experience in working with adults, children and adolescents. She is friendly and approachable and draws on a variety of different therapeutic approaches in order to tailor treatment to each individual.

She currently works in adult mental health working with a variety of presenting difficulties. Prior to her current post she worked extensively in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). There she worked with young people who had a variety of conditions such as behavioural issues and emotional difficulties such as anxiety and depression. She has substantial experience working with people who have neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. She has a wealth of experience working with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, phobias, OCD, grief, low self-esteem, adjustment difficulties, PTSD and attachment / interpersonal difficulties.

She is trained to draw on a range of evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Schema Therapy.
