About me
Mr King is the Cataract Lead and YAG Laser Capsulotomy Lead for Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust and leads the regional Cross-linking Service for patients with keratoconus. He specialises in premium cataract surgery including toric lenses for astigmatism treatment, extended depth of focus, multifocal and continuous depth of focus lenses for increased spectacle independence. Suitable patients are able to benefit from immediate sequential bilateral cataract surgery and drop-free surgery.
He studied at Trinity College Cambridge and qualified from the University of Cambridge School of Clinical Medicine in 2013 where he was awarded a prestigious William Harvey Studentship and a Distinction in the Final MB as one of the top students in his year. He completed his Foundation Training and Ophthalmology Specialty Training in the Oxford Deanery.
Mr King underwent advanced training in Cataract and Anterior Segment in Buckinghamshire and was awarded a commendation in the Postgraduate Diploma in Cataract and Refractive Surgery from Ulster University in 2021.
Mr King has had a range of his research, innovation and audit work published and presented nationally and internationally. As part of his NHS role he is the College Tutor and Educational Lead for Ophthalmology in Buckinghamshire and is the Cataract Simulation Lead for the Oxford Deanery. Mr King is an Examiner for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
