About me
Hello, I'm Stewart (he/him), a counselling psychologist registered with the HCPC (PYL042716).
I have a wealth of experience supporting people navigate difficulties with anxiety, depression, shame, self-criticism, stress, sex, sexuality, gender, identity, drug and alcohol misuse, chemsex, HIV and sexual health. Together we can explore and get a sense of your needs to help you move forwards in helpful and meaningful ways.
I believe the therapeutic relationship to be an anchor for positive and meaningful change. Therefore, my aim is to provide a space that is accessible, compassionate, non-judgmental and affirmative. I offer weekly, fortnightly or single session therapy online to individuals, couples and people in multiple relationships.
I adopt an integrative approach to therapy, which combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic modalities. This allows me to provide therapy that is holistic, flexible and attuned to your unique lived experiences and needs. I also recognise and consider the importance of intersectionality and its relationship to mental health and wellbeing throughout therapy.
I hope we can collaborate and develop a shared understanding of your specific needs to inform and guide therapy.
Areas of interest
I'm a devoted and passionate therapist with significant experience supporting people (off all genders) navigate difficulties with sex, sexuality, gender, identity and relationship diversity.
In addition to private practice, I work within a central London NHS service that specialises in gender, sexual health and HIV care. In my role, I work closely with a LGBTQIA+ community with diverse backgrounds and identities.
