About me
Hello, I'm Stewart (he/him), a counselling psychologist registered with the HCPC (PYL042716). I describe myself as a cis-gay man and neurodivergent therapist as well as proud trans ally. I'm a devoted and passionate therapist with significant experience supporting people (off all genders) navigate difficulties with sex, sexuality, gender, identity and relationship diversity.
I believe the therapeutic relationship to be an anchor for positive and meaningful change. Therefore, my aim is to provide a space that is accessible, compassionate, non-judgmental and affirmative. I offer weekly, fortnightly or single session therapy online to individuals, couples and people in multiple relationships.
I adopt an integrative approach to therapy, which combines ideas and techniques from different therapeutic modalities. This allows me to provide therapy that is holistic, flexible and attuned to your unique lived experiences and needs. I also recognise and consider the importance of intersectionality and its relationship to mental health and wellbeing throughout therapy.
I hope we can collaborate and develop a shared understanding of your specific needs to inform and guide therapy.
I have training in the following:
 Psychodynamic Therapy
 Person-Centred Therapy
 Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
 Compassion Focussed Therapy (CFT)
 Emotion Focussed Therapy (EFT)
In addition to private practice, I work within a central London NHS service that specialises in gender, sexual health and HIV care. In my role, I work closely with a LGBTQIA+ community with diverse backgrounds and identities.
