About me

Mr Amit Pattni is A GDC registered Specialist Oral Surgeon

Amit is a Specialist Oral Surgeon who predominantly works in the primary care setting. He takes referrals for the management of patients requiring complex Oral Surgery procedures via referral from colleagues in the Midlands, Central and East of England regions. He also has a qualification in providing Conscious Sedation in Dentistry from the University of Newcastle. This allows him to utilise the use of sedation to help anxious patients and to assist with the comfortable completion of more complex surgical procedures.

Being on the General Dental Council Specialist Register ensures Mr Pattni has the necessary qualifications, training and experience to practice as a specialist. This is a hallmark of excellence and ensures patients receive care from a highly trained and appropriately experienced specialist.

Amit has travelled extensively during his surgical training, which has involved placements and rotations at hospitals in the Northwest, Yorkshire and Midlands region of England. After completing specialist training in Yorkshire Amit worked as a Specialist in a NHS Trust in Northamptonshire for 6 years, alongside colleagues in Special Care Dentistry and Paediatric Dentistry, he developed experience in the management of patients with complex medical, mental and behavioural conditions, he aspires make Oral Surgery treatments increasingly accessible to patients in the primary care.
Amit remains committed to Postgraduate Training and provides and facilitates both didactic and hands on clinical training to Postgraduate trainees and Dentists.
He served as Regional Representative for the British Association of Oral Surgeons in East Midlands for two terms. He has been awarded prizes on two occasions, for his presentations at national conferences, notably first prize for a quality improvement project focussed on incorporating digital technology to improving patient experience.
Amit aspires to provide treatments to patients in a friendly and approachable manner to all patients he treats.
