About me

Dr Crozier is a visiting Consultant Psychiatrist at The Priory Hospital Chelmsford. She is from Essex and has worked in the county since qualifying as a doctor in 2000. In addition to Psychiatry, she also trained in intensive Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy at The Tavistock Clinic (M1) and is accredited with the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC). This enables her to offer psychoanalytically informed psychiatric assessments, with particular attention to the impact of childhood on later life.

It is now recognised that many people experience significant discontinuation symptoms when attempting to reduce or stop their psychotropic medication. Dr Crozier has a special interest in 'de-prescribing' and exploring additional helpful approaches such as talking therapies and lifestyle medicine interventions.

Dr Crozier graduated from St Bartholomew's and the Royal London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry in 2000. Before specialising in Psychiatry, she trained in General Practice and still works as a GP. This dual training allows her to provide truly holistic care, understanding the profound impact of the mind and body on each other. Additionally, she holds an MSc in Clinical Hypnosis, which can be a beneficial treatment for a variety of physical and emotional problems.
