About me
Ms Sinead Burke is an experienced Registered Dietitian specialising in gastroenterology. She supports patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions, including IBS, IBD, coeliac disease, SIBO and eosinophilic oesophagitis, as well as symptoms such as bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, constipation and nutritional decline.
She delivers personalised, evidence-based dietary care, including the low FODMAP diet, targeted probiotic use, and dietary therapies for Crohn's disease such as exclusive enteral nutrition (EEN), the Crohn's Disease Exclusion Diet (CDED) and low-emulsifier diets. Ms Burke works at St Mark's Hospital The National Bowel Hospital, providing specialist care for complex feeding needs and IBD.
Alongside clinical practice, she is active in research and recently worked as a research dietitian at King's College London on a randomised controlled trial exploring the role of dietary emulsifiers in Crohn's disease. Her approach combines strong evidence with empathy, offering highly individualised, patient-centred care to optimise symptoms and quality of life.
