About me

I work in a client-centred way where the client's needs are at the forefront of our therapeutic journey. I will support you in a non-judging and safe place, for you to explore your feelings, struggles and concerns.
?
My counselling practice has focused on working with both children and adult clients experiencing domestic and sexual abuse, trauma, depression, anxiety, bereavement and loss, birth trauma and post-natal depression, loneliness and isolation, work and study stresses, family and relationship difficulties, disordered eating, identity struggles, low self-esteem and neurodivergence related experiences. I have over ten years' experience supporting young people (9+) including young people with disabilities, young offenders, children in care and young carers. Further to this I have experience supporting adults with disabilities and their families, specifically acquired brain injury and stroke. I have also supported children and young people with pre and post bereavement as a counsellor at a local hospice.
?
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and have a BA (Hons) degree in Fine Art, I often use creative therapies within counselling work. I also have specialist knowledge and training in mental health, LGBTQIA+, sexual health, child bereavement, stroke care, safeguarding, domestic abuse and sexual assault and disordered eating.
?
I have completed training for counsellors and therapists from Gendered Intelligence (GI) to support trans, gender diverse and questioning people, I am a member of the GI Network for Therapists and Counsellors. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming.
?
I am also an accredited infant and neonatal loss practitioner through the Foundation For Infant Loss.
?
I am a CPCAB Level 6 qualified Clinical Supervisor, with post-qualifying training for counselling children and young people. I also hold a level 4 safeguarding qualification and have completed 200 hours of advanced accredited training for online and telephone counselling and I am a Level 2 Professional Member of the Association for Counselling and Therapy Online (ACTO).
