About me

I am a BABCP accredited Psychotherapist, specialising in delivering evidence-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) with experience supporting both NHS and privately funded clients. With extensive training and experience in Psychology and CBT interventions, I am committed to helping individuals overcome a range of psychological, personal and professional challenges whilst also improving their overall well-being in a warm, supportive and non-judgemental space.
Having worked in the NHS since 2015 across different primary care services and mental health teams I have experience in working with clients with varying needs and a range of backgrounds. My accreditation with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP) demonstrates my adherence to the highest standards of professional practice and ethical conduct. I attend regular supervision which provides me with a space to reflect on my work, gain new insights, and ensure the highest quality of care to my clients. Supervision also supports my professional growth and helps me maintain the professional standards required for BABCP accreditation.

Therapeutic Approach:
My approach to therapy is client-centred and collaborative with an emphasis on building a strong therapeutic relationship. I utilise evidence-based CBT techniques to help clients identify and challenge unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours. By working together, we will develop personalised strategies to manage symptoms and achieve meaningful, lasting change.

Client Testimonials:
I just wanted to say again a massive thank you for all your hard work and commitment into helping me.
You have taught me so much that I will carry throughout my life and will continue to put into practice everything I've learnt from you. I feel like you've set me on the right path in life. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. Thank you for listening and respecting all my vulnerabilities that I have shown to you also. - LL

.I felt like you were the only person who understood where I was coming from, especially the fact that I'm not used to talking about my feelings to anyone. I finally felt like someone was listening to me. If it wasn't for you and your encouragement I don't think I would have opened up about my traumatic past. I'm crying while writing this email. From the bottom of my heart thank you so much. I feel like words can't describe how much I appreciate you. You truly have touched my heart and I think you would be one of the people who I will remember for the rest of my life. Again, thank you so much for your support. We need more people like you in this world. -TR

Next steps:
I am able to provide an initial no-obligation 15 minute telephone or video consultation free of charge to discuss your therapy aims, areas of support and to discuss whether I am the right therapist for you.
At the end of our initial meeting, there will be no pressure to make a decision, but instead if you prefer, we can arrange for me to follow up with you regarding whether you feel what I am offering is the best fit for you.
If I feel an approach outside of what I offer would be better suited to your needs, I will ensure that I provide details of alternatives and signpost you accordingly.

Therapy in my care is provided as 50-minute sessions via video typically on a weekly basis, however this can be discussed at our initial assessment.

To schedule a consultation or learn more about my services, please contact me at darren@londonandessextherapy.com or Tel: 07931514356
