PROFILE

Welcome! I am a Senior Practitioner with valuable and wide ranging experience within voluntary, private and public sectors.
I have considerable experience on a broad spectrum of client issues, providing short and long term counselling/psychotherapy.

I am particularly specialised and experienced in the provision of trauma interventions involving issues connected with rape/sexual abuse and harassment; Depression Medically Unexplained Symptoms and long term physical health conditions; workplace counselling and support through periods of change.

I am an empathic and sensitive individual with a strong sense of integrity and a passionate drive to make a difference to individuals and organisations.

Areas of interest

I have worked effectively with clients, male and female and non-binary, ages from 16 to 86; people from different cultural backgrounds,varying abilities/disabilities and neurodiversity.
I have experience of a wide range of issues, including enduring mental health problems i.e. depression, anxiety, stress, suicidal ideation, relationship difficulties including sexual, emotional, psychological and physical abuse

My approach is person-centred which means I put you at the centre of your therapy experience, I am interested in how YOU view and understand your experience of life.
I believe that given the right environment people have the ability to grow and to heal.
I aim to create a warm welcoming and confidential space (face to face or remote working) where the individual feels safe to explore their difficulties.
I believe we all have times in life when we might benefit from help and support of others and counselling/psychotherapy is one way to address this.
