About me

Therapy is an active process where we work together. I work with you to firstly make sense of your difficulties and then agree a plan to use therapy to work towards your goals. I am trained in a number of therapies and we can see which feels the best fit for you and your goals. I have experience working with depression, anxiety disorders such as social anxiety, phobias, GAD and OCD. I also have long term experience of teaching coping skills to manage difficult thoughts and feelings, developing acceptance and working on self esteem. I focus mainly on the here and now and always consider how therapy will get you closer to your goals.

I work with a range of psychological therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT).Once we understand your difficulties and goals we can explore which approach would be best suited.

Meeting a new therapist can feel like a daunting prospect, so I value building a supportive and collaborative relationship from the start. I am highly passionate about working together with someone, to make sense of what's got them stuck and exploring ways to get unstuck. It is important for you to feel comfortable and secure with me as we work together.
