About me

Who am I
Hi I'm Sargam I'm a qualified and accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with extensive experience in mental health since 2016. My expertise is working with both adults and young people, I have provided support and social care for clients with learning and developmental difficulties. I have substantial experience within IAPT, NHS and private settings where I do assessments and treatments for clients with various mental health problems.

How do I work
I work with Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). CBT looks at how our emotions, our bodily symptoms, thoughts and behaviours all feed into each other and keep our negative feelings or worries going. We look at strategies to help change our perspectives and behaviours to help break out of patterns and vicious cycles of feeling the way we are, worrying or thinking negatively. We also talk about things that have happened to us in more detail to understand why we do what we do. Together we can explore and talk through/look for other ways to view your feelings and experiences. Everything is taken at your pace. We don't talk about things until you feel comfortable to do so. These are your sessions to use how you want to, in the way that best helps you reach your goals.
