About me

Dr. Dipesh Patel is a Practitioner Psychologist registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and has chartered status from the British Psychological Society.

He works within both the Neuropsychiatry and Neuropsychology Departments at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) in Queen Square. In these capacities, he practices within an assimilative integrative model which draws from a variety of different therapeutic approaches (including psychodynamic, existential, and cognitive-behavioural). At present, he is also a Lead Psychologist for Addictions and a Board Advisor to ReHabit � a charity supporting individuals who are recovering from addictions. Prior to joining the NHNN, he trained at neurorehabilitation and primary care services within the National Health Service.

Dr. Patel is completing his PhD at the University College London's - Institute of Neurology in Queen Square.

Dr. Patel's clinical and research background sits at the intersection of neuropsychology, neuropsychiatry, and neurology, with a particular focus on a range mood and anxiety disorders (including, but not limited to, Depression and Anxiety), neuropsychiatric disorders (i.e., Tic Disorders, their related disorders, and associated comorbidities such as Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder), and neurological disorders (i.e., Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson's Disease, Functional Neurological Disorder, and Cerebral Palsy).
