About me

Welcome to It's Your Time Therapies

Hello, I'm Angela.

I'm a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist (CBT) and Registered Mental Health Nurse with more than 30 years' experience working in mental health.

Throughout my career, I have worked across a range of NHS mental health services, supporting people with a wide variety of psychological difficulties. I have also taught student nurses and trained Cognitive Behavioural Therapists, which has given me extensive experience in both clinical practice and professional education.

I am passionate about helping people understand their difficulties, develop practical coping strategies and make meaningful, lasting changes to their lives.

My approach

I offer a warm, compassionate and collaborative approach to therapy. I recognise that everyone's experiences are different, so I tailor therapy to your individual needs rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.

Together, we will develop an understanding of the difficulties you are experiencing, consider what may be maintaining them, and agree a personalised treatment plan. I use evidence-based CBT approaches while taking into account the wider circumstances of your life and wellbeing.

My aim is to provide a safe, supportive space where you can feel heard, understood and able to work towards the changes that are important to you.

If you are considering therapy, I would be pleased to support you in exploring your difficulties and identifying practical ways forward.
