About me

Hi, I am Lindsey. I am a trauma-aware client-centred therapist. People seek therapy for various reasons. You may feel stuck in anxiety, depression, or emotional numbness. You might also carry shame, guilt, or self-criticism from times you felt you let yourself or others down. Relationships may seem strained, marked by recurring conflicts or a sense of disconnection. Over time, conscious or unconscious coping strategies can become barriers to living fully.

An empathic, genuine climate may help you understand your experiences, emotions, triggers, and patterns. We may also explore misplaced responsibility to help you release what no longer serves you, fostering conscious, grounded responses to life's challenges.

Whether you seek relief, deeper self-understanding, or meaningful change, I meet you with warmth, curiosity, and respect. Through this work, you may uncover pathways to reclaim agency, cultivate self-compassion, and potentially restore authentic connections. However, there are no guarantees; also, remember that therapy is a collaborative space.

Much of my practice is with individuals. However, I also work with couples, young people, families, supervisees and groups. Sessions are held in the counselling room, though feel free to request online/phone, or walk and talk. In-room sessions can also be facilitated as creative expression.
My embodied person-centred approach ultimately means I strive to return control to you.

As such, my position within the relationship isn't to advise; rather, it is a therapeutic container that can help you feel safe, understood, and welcomed. I illuminate and shed light on your emotions, personal relationships, and situation, thus facilitating the discovery of aspects of you.
Including contradicting parts and default positions. Potentially aiding long-term change by fostering continued self-understanding and a deeper connection to self.

A little about me: I am a cis female of mixed European and North African heritage, with interests in creative practice and the natural world. I have over a decade of experience as a Counsellor and many years as a Trainer. Most of my learning and awareness have been through exploring personal and societal challenges and ensuing deep reflection, which afforded an energy shift that now flows within my practice.

Areas of interest

I am attachment-and trauma-informed and educated in the autonomic nervous system. I am currently a PGCert student of Psychological Trauma. I also recently completed training in sound facilitation, linking frequency to stress stored within the anatomy.

I have an interest in working with the impact of social deprivation, differing abilities, neo-conventional family structures, and discrimination based upon race and ethnicity. Gender, Sexuality, Relationship, Diversity (GSRD) and Neurodivergence.

Do let me know if any adjustments are required to aid access, and improve comfort.
