About me
Having graduated in medicine from Oxford University, I completed my postgraduate clinical studies at the Royal Free Hospital and the Hammersmith Hospital. My PhD was on the haemodynamic consequences of cirrhosis. My first post as a Consultant was in 2001 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital in Perth, Western Australia.
I have been Lead Clinician for Gastroenterology with the Barts and The London NHS Trust since 2005 and Clinical Academic Unit Director for Digestive Diseases since August 2011. I am a member of the British Association for the Study of Liver Disease.
