About me

As an experienced cognitive-behavioural psychotherapist (CBT), Tom is an accredited practitioner with the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies (BABCP).

Tom places the client's needs at the core of therapy, emphasising a client-centred, integrated and passionate approach to the individuals needs, whilst also providing experience and knowledge of evidence-based interventions.

Tom has highly professional standards with 10 years of experience working with people with emotional and psychological difficulties in a variety of NHS settings and local authority settings, schools and CAMHS.

Tom has worked with children, young adults, and families with long-term and short-term interventions.

Tom is passionate about a trauma-informed approach. Tom can work with you to help process the source of your difficulties or to focus on your current problems. Some people often wish to focus on their current experiences while others wish to focus on the underlying factors that may have led them to have these. Tom is more interested in
in "what has happened to you rather than what is wrong with you."

Tom is also very skilful in offering an approach that meets of other difficulties such as ASD and ADHD. Tom can adapt these sessions and offer a creative approach. Tom also has an interest in the diverse and cultural experiences of the client.
