About me

Hello and thanks for visiting my profile. I am an experienced Counselling Psychologist and Psychotherapist with extensive experience of helping individuals navigate through a wide range of transitions and difficulties including anxiety, depression, relationship & self-esteem concerns and many more. For the last 20 years, I have worked in community & NHS mental health & psychology services and education based counselling and psychology services. I initially trained in person-centred Counselling which focuses on developing a strong, constructive and respectful relationship between therapist and client. I subsequently completed a 3-year Doctoral Degree in Counselling Psychology which included advanced training in additional therapies including CBT, Mindfulness-based therapy & Compassion-Focused Therapy. I am also fully-trained in Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy which can be very successful with trauma-based concerns. I previously held Lecturing and Teaching Fellow roles in Further and Higher education delivering counselling training for 10 years. I really enjoy working with people to overcome life's inevitable challenges and watching people become healthier and happier in themselves drives my work. I would be delighted to work with you to overcome whatever obstacles you are currently managing - please feel free to make contact.
