About me

I'm Kolsoma, a registered and UKCP-accredited psychotherapist offering in-person therapy to adults and couples across Walsall, Birmingham and surrounding areas. I also offer secure online video sessions to clients throughout the UK and internationally.

Life can sometimes feel difficult to navigate. Trauma, relationship difficulties, loss, overwhelming emotions or significant life changes can leave us feeling stuck, disconnected or uncertain about how to move forward. Therapy offers a safe, confidential and compassionate space to explore what you are experiencing and begin to find a way forward.

My approach is grounded in warmth, compassion and respect. I offer a non-judgemental space where you can speak openly, make sense of your experiences and explore patterns that may be affecting your wellbeing and relationships. Together, we can work towards greater clarity, emotional resilience and a stronger sense of self.

I have extensive experience supporting vulnerable adults and working with ex-service personnel and veterans experiencing trauma, adjustment difficulties and the challenges of reintegration into civilian life. This has given me a deep understanding of how trauma can affect our sense of safety, identity, relationships and everyday lives.

My practice is also informed by an awareness of faith, culture and the wider contexts in which we live. For clients who wish to explore their faith within therapy, I offer a spiritually sensitive and culturally responsive approach, recognising the importance of faith, values, identity and community in emotional wellbeing. My work is collaborative, ethical and respectful of each person's individual beliefs and experiences.

Taking the first step into therapy can feel daunting, and choosing a therapist is an important decision. I invite you to explore my profile and, if you have any questions, get in touch for a free, no-obligation telephone consultation.

Areas of interest

I work with adults aged 18 and over experiencing a range of emotional and psychological difficulties, including anxiety, depression, stress, low self-esteem, trauma and PTSD, bereavement and loss, life transitions, adjustment difficulties and emotional distress. I have particular experience supporting veterans and ex-service personnel affected by trauma.

My therapeutic work includes individual psychotherapy, assessment and formulation, trauma-informed interventions, therapeutic exploration of past and present experiences, emotional regulation and coping strategies, and developing resilience, self-awareness and healthier ways of managing difficult experiences.
Where appropriate and guided by the client's preferences, therapy can also incorporate exploration of faith, spirituality, identity and cultural factors in a sensitive, respectful and ethically grounded way.

I offer both in-person therapy and secure online video sessions.
