About me
At times life can be an uphill struggle which can make us feel confused, despondent and directionless - not knowing what to do or who to talk to. People may seek counselling for different reasons. Whatever difficulties you are experiencing, I can support you in a safe and confidential space where I can help you to explore and identify your needs, working alongside you to gain a better understanding of why you may feel the way you do and working towards making change happen.
I work with various people who seek help and support for various concerns that they are facing, such as: depression, anxiety, cultural issues, physical and emotional abuse, relationships, loss and self-development as well as many other obstacles and challenges that life can throw at us.
In addition to seeing private clients, I work part-time in a counselling agency in South London. The agency works in partnership with the NHS IAPT service; my role there as a clinical manager / lead counsellor, I mentor and work with a team of qualified and trainee counsellors, combining this with seeing NHS clients for short-term therapy.
I use techniques to suit your individual needs. I provide emotional support in a non-judgmental way and I will listen to you unconditionally with empathy, care and respect.
I welcome people from all walks of life. I understand the Chinese cultural background and have experience with clients from other diverse cultural communities.
I am an accredited registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy) and I adhere to their ethical framework for good practice.
