About me
Dr Udit Mittal MBBS, MRCP(UK), FRCP(London), FRCP(Edin) is a Consultant Gastroenterologist at Oxford University Hospitals. His practice includes the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of gastrointestinal and liver conditions, with a patient-centred approach. He has a clinical focus on early detection, precision diagnostics, and personalised treatment strategies.
Dr Mittal graduated in 2006 and completed his training in internal medicine at Sheffield. He specialised in gastroenterology and endoscopy in Oxford before being appointed as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, where he cares for a broad range of patients.
He manages patients with a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions and undertakes advanced diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy. As a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening endoscopist, he performs a high volume of endoscopic procedures each year, with an emphasis on safe and effective practice.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Mittal is involved in gastroenterology at a national level. He is the Regional Representative for Oxfordshire on the Clinical Services and Standards Committee of the British Society of Gastroenterology and a Regional Specialty Adviser for the Royal College of Physicians (London). He is also a Fellow of both the Royal College of Physicians of London and the Royal College of Physicians of Edinburgh.
