About me

Dr. Mittal completed his internal medicine training in Sheffield, followed by specialized gastroenterology training in Oxford. After finishing his training, he gained specialist registration and commenced his role as a Consultant Gastroenterologist at John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford, in September 2022.

Dr. Mittal is committed to providing personalised care for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr. Mittal possesses extensive expertise in advanced gastrointestinal endoscopy, with a particular focus on the early detection of GI cancers and precancerous lesions, endoscopic resection of complex polyps, familial GI polyposis syndromes, and inflammatory bowel disease. He is skilled in performing both upper and lower endoscopic procedures and is a nationally accredited bowel cancer screening colonoscopist, recognized for maintaining high standards in colonoscopy quality. In his clinical practice, Dr. Mittal performs a high volume of endoscopic procedures

On a national level, Dr. Mittal serves as the Regional Representative for Oxfordshire on the British Society of Gastroenterology Clinical Services and Standards Committee and as the Regional Specialty Adviser for the Royal College of Physicians, London.
