About me

Working in a tertiary referral centre I look after patients with hip pain across the Midlands and Shropshire. I specialise in the assessment of sports hip injuries, hip arthritis, dysplasia and failed hip replacements. I offer specialist operations that include hip replacements, hip arthroscopy, rotational osteotomies, pelvic osteotomy and revision hip surgery.

As an individual I have a broad training background that spans general practice, trauma and orthopaedics. I spent a year in Exeter as the prestigious Ling hip fellow where I learnt about MAKO robotic hip surgery and day case joint replacements. I also worked in Reading, a high volume hip arthroscopy fellowship.

I work as an honorary research fellow at University of Birmingham, department of biochemical engineering. Positioning me alongside basic scientists to deliver bench-top to bedside research and gain grant awards. I have published in high impact journals using both inferential and Bayesian statistics.

I currently supervise a specialist registrar and teach on the esteemed Oswestry training program.
