About me

Hi I'm Alice and am delighted to be able to offer CBT to BUPA patients. I have several years of experience and am fully accredited with BABCP.

I offer a free 15 minute phone consultation to give you the chance to ask important questions about my service and help you decide if I am the best therapist to meet your needs.

I aim to work flexibly with clients and tend to book appointments week to week as I know my clients can have busy lives and this is easier to manage when working remotely online but is still important for face to face clients as well.

CBT is an evidence based form of therapy which looks at our thoughts, beliefs and behaviours. CBT is collaborative and aims to teach you how to 'be your own therapist'. I find CBT to be effective with a range of areas.

I have had additional training (further to my core CBT Training) and /or experience for working with PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), Health Anxiety, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Perfectionism, Self Esteem, Attachment; Care and Boarding School Experience; Young people (over 16), ADHD, Menopause, Trans Awareness and Paternal Mental Health.
I chose Menopause for my research topic while studying CBT which has helped inform my practice with those experiencing difficult symptoms.

My background was in Social Care working with families but mostly younger people aged 16-25 before I trained as a Psychotherapist which gave me invaluable experience of working with people and a great understanding of Attachment and how our life experiences can shape us.

Areas of interest

I work with those aged 16 and over and have experience and interest in working with;

Low Self Esteem; Depression; Social Anxiety; Perfectionism; Panic Disorder; Menopause; Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD); Health Anxiety; Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Generalised Anxiety Disorder(GAD); Attachment/ Relationships; Care and Boarding School Experience; Paternal Mental Health; Menopause; Loss and Grief.
