About me

I am a Consultant Hand and Wrist Surgeon based in Leeds, specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of hand and wrist conditions. I treat the full range of hand and wrist problems, from common conditions to complex injuries.

I completed advanced specialist training in hand and wrist surgery through a nationally selected orthoplastic TIG Hand Fellowship in Leeds, followed by further specialist fellowship training at Leeds and Chelsea and Westminster. I also hold specialist diplomas in hand surgery from both the British and European Boards of Hand Surgery.

In my practice, I regularly perform wrist arthroscopy (keyhole surgery), thumb base (CMC) joint replacement, and small joint replacements, as well as surgery for hand and wrist arthritis, ganglions, Dupuytren's disease, carpal tunnel syndrome and other nerve compression conditions, and tendon problems. I also manage traumatic injuries of the hand and wrist, including fractures, tendon injuries, and nerve injuries.

Alongside my clinical work, I am involved in national leadership and education in hand surgery. I am a committee member of the British Society for Surgery of the Hand Education and Training Committee and lead the national Patient Information Leaflet programme, helping to ensure patients have access to clear and reliable information. I was selected for the Royal College of Surgeons of England's Emerging Leaders Programme.

I also have a strong interest in global health and volunteered in Malawi, supporting the development of a sustainable hand surgery service and training local healthcare teams.
