Roshan is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise & Musculoskeletal Medicine at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals.

Training:

Roshan was awarded the prestigious National Institute for Healthcare and Research (NIHR) Academic Clinical Fellowship allowing him to complete specialist training at esteemed institutions such as the UK Institute of Sport and the National Centre of Sport and Exercise Medicine in Sheffield.

Professional Experience:

Roshan has built an extensive career since 2013, working in elite sport and managing recreational sports enthusiasts alike. Currently based at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals, he stands out as the only Sport, Exercise & Musculoskeletal Medicine Consultant within NHS Secondary Care in Yorkshire. His expertise has been developed through roles in various high-profile sports and major international events. These include, Commonwealth Games, Super League Rugby, Championship Rugby and Premier League Football, where he served as Club Doctor for Sheffield United Football Club.

Academic Contributions:

In addition to his clinical work, Roshan is an Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at The University of Sheffield. His has shared his academic work internationally through publications in scientific journals and chapters in sport medicine text books. He is also a dedicated tutor for post graduate qualifications in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound at Brunel University, sharing his knowledge and expertise with the next generation of medical professionals.
