About me
Mr Amit Patel is a dedicated and highly experienced trauma and orthopaedic surgeon specialising in foot and ankle conditions. His NHS base is The Royal London Hospital, Europe's busiest trauma centre. With extensive training and advanced subspecialty expertise, he is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for a wide range of complex foot and ankle disorders.
He completed his medical degree (MBBS) at University College London, followed by rigorous specialist training in London. He undertook three specialist fellowships giving him further experience in high energy traumatic lower limb injuries, complex sports and reconstructive surgery, ankle replacements and revision replacements and diabetic foot surgery.
Mr Patel undertakes the whole range of foot and ankle surgery, performing keyhole and minimally invasive operations as much as possible to help his patients recover faster. He provides expert assessment and surgical treatment for conditions such as ankle arthritis, Achilles tendinopathy, bunions, flatfoot deformity, ankle instability, fractures, and post-traumatic deformities
His approach combines evidence-based medicine with innovative surgical techniques tailored to each patient's needs, with a focus on achieving optimal functional outcomes and helping patients return to their daily activities. Mr Patel attained a masters in sports and exercise medicine, giving him true insight into the importance of getting his patients back to their activities.
