About me
I have been a practicing Psychotherapist privately and in the NHS for over 24 years. I graduated from the CSCT in 1999 specialising in Psychodynamic counselling and went on to obtain a BACP accreditation in 2002 of which I am now a senior member. In 2006 I completed an MSC in Addiction Psychology & Counselling from Southbank University and in 2011 completed a Post-graduate Diploma in CBT from the University of Hertfordshire. I am BABCP accredited since 2013 and a member of the Royal Society of Medicine.
I work with a variety of therapeutic tools including CBT, Psychodynamic, and Integrative techniques, tailored to the client's individual needs and clinical presentations. This includes the assessment and treatment for a range of conditions such as anxiety disorders and depression, long-term conditions, and early formative and developmental difficulties.
I like to take an adaptable and flexible approach tailored to the individual's needs to enable them to achieve their goals. Sometimes we might take the CBT approach, or we might utilise psychodynamic counselling and we can explore these approaches as we work together in assessment.
I have a particular interest working in anxiety disorders and comorbid conditions, particularly how earlier formative experiences can manifest in later life. I am also a fluent Spanish-speaker.
