Treatment approach
Ruth adopts a client centred integrative and holistic approach in her work, with treatments tailored to the needs of each individual client. It is important to her that each client feels that their particular concerns have been fully understood. Ruth draws upon well recognised treatment approaches that are grounded in psychological and neuroscientific theory and research, these include compassion focused therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, trauma focused CBT, mindfulness and somatic therapies.
Following a detailed assessment which will take place over 1 - 2 sessions, she will share her understanding, or formulation of the problem with you, treatment will be based upon this shared understanding. Treatment length will vary according to need.
