About me

I am an experienced general gastroenterologist with a special interest in early diagnosis, oesophagogastric disorders including swallowing problems, Barrett's oesophagus, reflux, cancer and eosinophilic oesophagitis and quality endoscopy . I have been chair of the oesophageal section of the British society of gastroenterology for the last 3years and one of the authors on the BSG guidelines for management of eosinophilic oesophagitis. I am principal investigator in several clinical research studies and part of the NHSEngland cytosponge oversight committee
