Mr. Brijesh Ayyaswamy is a Consultant in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where he has been serving for over three years. With 21 years of experience in orthopaedics, he specialises in foot and ankle surgery, lower limb arthroplasty, including hip, knee, and ankle replacements, knee arthroscopy and diabetic foot management.

Mr. Ayyaswamy completed his medical and postgraduate orthopaedic training in India and qualified as an orthopaedic surgeon in 2003. He has practised in the Northwest of the UK for the past 15 years, enhancing his expertise through a Foot and Ankle Fellowship at North Tees and Hartlepool University Hospitals. This fellowship refined his skills in complex foot and ankle reconstructions, sports injuries, soft tissue procedures, and diabetic foot care, allowing him to deliver comprehensive and advanced treatment options to his patients.

He has 14 publications, more than 30 national and international publications. He supervises the Achilles tendon rupture programme at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

His dedication to orthopaedics and commitment to patient care have established him as a trusted consultant with extensive expertise in foot and ankle procedures and lower limb arthroplasty.
