Specialist Registrar in South East Thames working in hospitals in East Kent, East Sussex, Guy's and King's including a 6 month fellowship in Liver Transplant Anaesthesia at King's College Hospital. One year sabbatical spent in Australia at the Royal Perth Hospital, including 4 months "Outback Anaesthesia" working with the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Appointed as a Consultant Anaesthetist in 1999.
Lead Consultant for Obstetric Anaesthesia 1999-2011.
College Tutor from 2000-2006.
Clinical Director for Critical Care from 2011-2015.

Long Term Vascular Access - Insertion of Portacaths, Arm Ports, PICCs and Tunnelled Central Venous Catheters (Hickman Lines) for Chemotherapy; Anaesthesia for major cancer surgery including thoracic epidural analgesia; Spinal anaesthesia for major Orthopaedic surgery - Hip and Knee replacements; Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA) and sedation techniques.
