About me

Over the past 15 years working as a psychologist I have valued my time working in a broad variety of settings and contexts with very diverse people. I have worked in private practice for over 14 years, as well as in university, corporate, and both inpatient and outpatient hospital settings in South Africa and the UK. I have been involved in the teaching, training and supervision of trainee psychologists and counsellors and also have extensive experience running groups, including support groups, organisational, supervision, and educational groups.

I have been fortunate to continue to learn and grow through my rich work experiences, and have seen over and over how creating safe spaces for reflection and understanding can contribute to deeper connections with self and others, and more authentic, meaningful living.

Creating a safe and confidential space to explore current and past experiences can lead to healing and growth, and I strongly believe that a genuine and warm therapeutic relationship between client and therapist is a critical part of this process.
I work as a Psychologist offering assessment and short and long-term psychotherapy for individuals with a wide range of emotional and support needs.

We can all benefit from creating spaces of reflection and connection in our lives. Psychotherapy is useful in facilitating self-discovery, insight, and growth, helping not only people in severe psychological distress, but also any of us wishing to expand our understanding of ourselves and live more fulfilling lives.

So whether you are adjusting to a big change in your life (such as a divorce, the birth of a baby, a new job), experiencing difficulties in your relationships, struggling to cope after losing someone close, experiencing a mood or anxiety disorder (such as depression or panic disorder), or wanting time for self-exploration, therapy can help to make space to think about and manage your challenges. Creating this space and time can help to cultivate more meaningful relationships and can enrich your experience of living.
