About me

Dr Tamara Basarab is a highly experienced consultant dermatologist, having worked in the specialty for over 25 years, and treats both adults and children. Tamara graduated from Guy's Hospital, London in 1990. She undertook her specialist dermatology training in London, gaining a wide breadth of experience working at various different hospitals. Much of her training was at the prestigious centre of excellence, St John's Institute of Dermatology where she trained under some of the country's leading dermatologists.

Tamara was appointed as a consultant dermatologist at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in 1999 where she developed and led the skin allergy service as well as looking after dermatology inpatients and patients with dermatological emergencies. Alongside this, her job involved working at Queen Mary's Hospital, Roehampton where she ran busy dermatology clinics and treated a wide range of skin conditions.
