About me

Overwhelmed? Disconnected? Stuck?

If this is you, you are not alone. Life is tough for us all and it's no surprise we sometimes feel a bit stuck. My primary aim is to create a safe environment where we can work together to move towards your goals. We will explore, discover and try out new skills and strategies for improvements in the long term.

I have worked within mental health for fifteen years and for twelve years as a therapist. I've had the privilege of being able to sit with people and listen, explore and support as they work through the challenges that life can bring. I have worked in a wide range of settings including the NHS, education and charity organisations. Within the NHS I have worked in outpatient and inpatient services across both mental health and highly specialist medical teams. I have worked with people who have with a wide range of psychological difficulties; from longstanding and complex to those seeking a space to explore and develop themselves. I strongly believe the therapeutic relationship is central and therefore I support and encourage everyone to find their best therapist fit. I believe therapy is about growth and cultivation in all areas of life and so regardless of experience, therapy is available to everyone.

I have taught at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral level as well as to various health professionals including consultant level medical staff. I hold honorary clinical lecturer status and have delivered workshops and presentations at both local and international conferences.

Areas of interest

I work with young people and adults aged 16 years onwards. I specialise in adult mental health and work with both individuals and couples. I offer both short and longer term work.

While I work with a wide range of problem areas, I have a specialist interest in anxiety, OCD, trauma & PTSD, perinatal difficulties (inc birth trauma), sexual problems, relationship issues, adjustment and physical health problems. I also work with individuals who have been involved in road traffic accidents.

As a Chartered Clinical Psychologist, I have extensive training in multiple therapeutic methods including CBT, ACT, CFT, EMDR, Schema therapy & Mindfulness. This helps me to work flexibly with clients and incorporate elements of different approaches that I believe will best meet your needs. I am also interested in somatic approaches.

I have extensive experience of adapting approaches to meets the needs of neurodiverse individuals, and I am informed by principles of intersectionality.
