Mr Qutayba Almerie is a consultant surgeon who specialises in weight loss surgery and keyhole procedures for conditions affecting the stomach and oesophagus and gallbladder (Upper Gastrointestinal Surgery).

His NHS base is at Manchester Royal Infirmary, and he also leads the Royal College of Surgeons-accredited Bariatric Surgery Fellowship at Phoenix Health � a national training programme for future weight loss surgeons.

Mr Almerie did his general surgery training at leading UK surgical centres followed by completing a dedicated two-year fellowship in bariatric (weight loss) surgery.

He provides a wide range of treatments for obesity, acid reflux, gallstones, and abdominal wall hernias.
