About me

Thank you for taking the time to view my profile.

My name is Colin and I am a Person-Centred Counsellor who specialises in working with young people aged 11 - 18 years old and young adults.

My approach is grounded in empathy where I offer a calm space where emotions and feelings can be explored at a pace to suit each client.

I addition to working in Private Practice I am also a school counsellor at a large comprehensive school.

My many years of experience working as a school counsellor give me a unique insight into the many problems that face young people today, and allowed me gain knowledge and experience in how to best support those who attend counselling.

Before qualifying as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist, I worked for many years in industry and also volunteered in the charitable sector where I supported some of the most vulnerable people in society.

The success of counselling can largely be dependent on the relationship between client and counsellor, and as your counsellor I will put my energy into ensuring our relationship is based on empathy, trust and kindness.
