About Dr Dionisio Izquierdo

Dr Dionisio Izquierdo is a Consultant in Sport, Exercise and Musculoskeletal Medicine and a Fellow of the Faculty of Sport & Exercise Medicine (FFSEM). He has extensive experience supporting people of all ages with acute and chronic musculoskeletal problems � from everyday pain to complex sports injuries � whether you're an elite athlete or simply want to stay active.

He is fluent in Spanish and offers consultations in both English and Spanish.

Clinical Expertise:

* Dionisio is highly skilled in diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound and provides a wide range of ultrasound-guided treatments, including Arthrosamid, corticosteroid injections, hyaluronic acid, PRP and more.

* He also offers shockwave therapy and tailored exercise prescriptions to help patients recover safely and effectively.

Training and Qualifications:

* Medical degree from University College London (UCL), 2012

* Internal Medicine training with an interest in Cardiology

* MSc in Sport & Exercise Medicine (Merit), UCL, 2019

* Higher Specialist Training in Sport & Exercise Medicine, London Deanery

* Postgraduate Certificate in Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (Distinction), University of East London

* Dionisio is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love as quickly and safely as possible. He focuses on holistic, non-surgical management, working closely with patients to achieve long-term recovery and wellbeing.

During your appointment with Dionisio, you'll receive a careful and considered assessment tailored to you to identify the underlying cause of your issue.

If helpful, Dionisio can use diagnostic ultrasound during the consultation to visualise tissues and structures in real time. This allows him to explain clearly what's going on and discuss the most appropriate non-surgical treatments for you. These may include ultrasound-guided injections, shockwave therapy, structured rehabilitation, or arranging further imaging or specialist input.

Outside of Work:
