About me

Dr Charles Miller is a Consultant Gastroenterologist. He is also dual accredited as a Physician in General Internal Medicine. He is currently appointed at Buckinghamshire Healthcare Trust since 2022. He is currently the Inflammatory Bowel disease Lead for the Trust.

He studied medicine and surgery at Imperial College London and graduated with a distinction in clinical practice. Whilst at Imperial he also took a Gastroenterology and Hepatology BSc, where he was awarded a First Class Honours.

Dr Miller undertook his postgraduate Gastroenterology training in the highly competitive North West Thames deanery. He trained in prestigious hospitals including St Mary's Hospital (Paddington), Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, as well as University College Hospital (London). He undertook subspecialist training with a fellowship in inflammatory bowel disease at University College Hospital. During this time, he published first author articles in this area and was a sub-investigator in multiple clinical trials. His research profile is available to view on researchgate.

Outside of medicine, his interests include table tennis and fitness.

- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Irritable bowel syndrome
- Dyspepsia and reflux symptoms
- Constipation
- Coeliac disease
- Liver disease

Dr Miller performs endoscopy including:
- Gastroscopy
- Flexible sigmoidoscopy
- Colonoscopy (and polypectomy)
