About me

Ms Andrea Yeo is a Consultant in Paediatric Orthopaedics at The Portland Hospital. She manages a broad range of children's orthopaedic conditions, including conditions of the hip (eg. hip dysplasia, Perthes disease), foot (eg. clubfoot, flat feet, tarsal coalition), trigger thumbs and other lower limb deformities (eg. knocked knees, bow legs, leg length discrepancies, growth disturbances); as well as complex neuromuscular disorders and skeletal dysplasias. She also specialises in treating paediatric musculoskeletal injuries and fractures.

Ms Yeo has an NHS practice in Trauma and Paediatric Orthopaedics at St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in London, a major trauma centre and tertiary referral centre for children's orthopaedics. She has undertaken specialist paediatric orthopaedic fellowships locally and internationally, including the Starship Children's Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand, the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children in London. Her Trauma and Orthopaedics Specialist Registrar training was undertaken in the South West London Deanery, including an additional fellowship in children's orthopaedics at the National University Hospital in Singapore.

Ms Yeo undertakes humanitarian work with Mercy Ships, offering paediatric orthopaedic surgery to children in Africa.

Ms Yeo is also actively involved in research and education, engaging in several national research studies in children's orthopaedics and she has widely published in scientific journals and books.
