About me

Supporting Children and Young People Through Life's Challenges.

Modern life brings many challenges for children and young people, often leading to struggles with anxiety, depression, and other mental health difficulties. As awareness of these issues grows, so does the need for effective and compassionate support.

My name is Malgorzata Krzywanska, and I am a child and adolescent psychotherapist with over 15 years of experience working in both organizational and private settings. As an accredited member of the BACP, I adhere to the Ethical Framework to ensure the highest standard of care.
My Journey into Psychotherapy
My passion for psychotherapy began while working as a probation officer in Poland. That experience showed me firsthand how early life experiences shape our future. I wanted to help young people make meaningful, lasting changes and realized that early therapeutic support can have a profound impact on their development and well-being.

How I Work.

I specialize in a psychodynamic approach, which focuses on exploring our unconscious thoughts and feelings. This deeper understanding of the mind helps bring lasting change, making it especially effective for children and young people navigating emotional challenges.
For younger children, I use play and creative activities to help them express emotions such as stress and anxiety in a safe, natural way. My sessions are child-led and cantered around their unique needs, creating a space where they feel secure and understood. Although, working through play can be provided through a face to face contact, drawn on my experience working with children on-line, I have recognized that what makes therapy successful is a positive and empathetic relationship between child and therapist.

Collaboration with Parents

While therapy remains a confidential space, I believe in a collaborative approach with parents. Every few weeks, I offer reflection sessions to discuss progress and explore ways to support your child outside of therapy.

Areas of interest

I specialize in working with children and adolescents in a psychodynamic model. Nevertheless, working with young people often implies collaboration with their families too. I therefore, in my work I often impalement elements of systemic approach, solution focused, CBT and many others. I believe in holistic and individual approach to each of my clients, which helps to apply the best possible support for each client.
