Ms Aphrodite Iacovidou is a highly accomplished ENT (Ear, Nose, and Throat) surgeon with a career marked by extensive education, clinical experience, and significant contributions to research and teaching.

Ms Iacovidou's clinical experience is extensive and varied, encompassing roles in both general and specialized ENT settings. She currently serves as an ENT substantive Consultant specializing in Airway and Laryngology at the Imperial NHS Healthcare Trust - the National Centre for Airway Reconstruction within Charing Cross Hospital in London. Ms Iacovidou received her specialised training at some of London's leading healthcare institutions, including GOSH (Great Ormond Street Hospital), UCLH (University College London Hospital), Northwick Park Hospital, and Imperial NHS Trust.

Ms Aphrodite Iacovidou specialises in laryngology and airway disorders, with a particular focus on laryngeal pathology, airway issues, subglottic stenosis, voice disorders, and laryngotracheal reconstruction.

She performs over 500 operations annually, including both endoscopic and open surgical procedures as well as clinic-based operations. Her expertise includes microlaryngoscopy, laser surgery, phonosurgery, airway and tracheal surgeries, thyroplasty, vocal fold medialization procedures, and laryngotracheal reconstructions. Additionally, she offers laryngeal re-innervation procedures for eligible patients.

She has received awards including Helen H Lawson grant for research in thyroid disease from the BMA Foundation for Medical research, Rowena Ryan Best Project award, BAETS best presentation award and Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh award for her research work. She has delivered numerous oral and poster presentations at national and international conferences.

She is undergoing continuous work in research with several publications, including collaborations with other international centres and Imperial College London. She has been awarded Clinical Teacher for Imperial College Medical School and contributes to future surgical education by being Unit Training Lead.
