About me
I am a qualified counsellor who has undertaken additional professional training in the areas of gender dysphoria, racial trauma, personal and professional burn out, depression and anxiety in young people, addiction, self-harm, disordered eating, body image & body dysmorphia. Therefore, I have expertise in providing psychological assessment, formulation, intervention and evaluation for a wide range of mental health difficulties.
I provide a Psychological service which is evidence-based, working within the NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines. I integrate several psychological models including CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy), ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy) to tailor intervention to the needs of the individual or couple.
Areas of interest
My primary objective is to create a non-judgmental space to provide clients with the necessary skills and tools they require to improve their mental health and relationships. I believe it is imperative to work collaboratively with clients to tailor treatment to suit their own individual needs. I accomplish this by taking the time to fully understand the challenges facing clients to help them achieve their own personal therapeutic goals.
